An Inspiring Evening with Girls on the Run

An evening of empowerment, community, and adventure!  Despite Flagstaff’s snowfall, the Girls on the Run Galentine’s Day Fundraiser brought together supporters for a night filled with inspiration. From delicious treats and exciting raffle prizes to the thrilling No Man’s Land Film Festival, the event celebrated the strength and spirit of women, community, and friendship. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who braved the weather to join us—we’re so grateful for your support!

Indigenous Representation at the Girls on the Run 5k

Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona recently completed their IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access) Strategic Plan. Part of this plan includes ensuring access, inclusion, and belongingness for our Native American participants. GOTRNA is committed to supporting the Indigenous youth they serve and communities they come from by growing efforts to strengthen culturally responsive education, representation and programming surrounding Indigenous Peoples.

GOTRNA will share updates and progress on our IDEA strategic plan and how we are supporting Indigenous youth and their communities. Here is our first update, which shares how we celebrated Native American Heritage Month at the Girls on the Run 5k. Thank you to Dr. Alisse Ali-Jospeh for writing this powerful reflection.
