Sara Morley Scholarship Applications open March 1!

Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona (GOTRNA) is thrilled to invite GOTRNA Alumni to apply for the 2025 Sara Morley Girls on the Run Spirit Scholarship! Each spring, GOTRNA awards one scholarship to an outstanding GOTR alumna to help with costs associated with continuing education beyond high school. This year, we are doubling the scholarship award to $2,000.

This scholarship was founded in 2014 in honor of Sara Morley, former GOTRNA council director and the driving force who kept Girls on the Run alive in Northern Arizona by bringing it to North Country HealthCare. Sara’s deep commitment to public service, belief in the limitless potential of every girl, and passionate participation in life helped define her Girls on the Run Spirit.

This spirit lives on in all of us and is memorialized through this scholarship that will help support a Girls on the Run alumna as she takes the next step in activating her limitless potential—attending an educational program after high school. The winner of the Sara Morley Girls on the Run Spirit Scholarship exemplifies Sara’s passion for her community, strength, and kind spirit.

To be eligible all applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an alumna of Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona

  • Exemplify the Girls on the Run Core Values of being joyful, optimistic, grateful, and nurturing of one’s health, as well as Sara’s passion for her community, strength, and kind spirit

  • Graduated in 2022 or beyond (students who took a gap year are welcome to apply)
  • Be accepted to and plan on attending an accredited college, university, or technical/vocational school in Fall 2025 as a full-time student

Apply by completing the online application at https://bit.ly/2025SaraMorleyApp. Applications open March 1 are due April 1, 2025. Applicants can apply in whichever language they prefer.

If you have any questions, please contact Girls on the Run at info@gotrna.org or 928-522-9452.
